First fundraiser! *VOTE BELOW*
So these are ideas for our first fundraiser and for our spring fundraiser. It takes less than 5 minutes of your time to read through these, but your voting will help us decide how to raise a bunch of money! So vote for 2 fall and 1 spring fundraiser before next Wednesday the 28th (our next meeting!).
FALL FUNDRAISERS:
-Raffle: Students would buy tickets at lunch for around $3-5 dollars and we would raffle off something expensive (preferably gotten as a donation, Ambassadors!)
-Candy/Gum sale: $1 to buy a candy bar or gum. This is easy to do because everything is on sale for Halloween (probably this would go on for the whole year)
-Teacher car wash: Have a contest to see which teacher has to wash your car! Have 3/4 jars at lunchtime, one for each teacher, and whichever teacher gets the most money has to wash your car. Which car? If you donate $5 or more, you get put in a raffle, which is then drawn to see who the lucky student is.
-Sell something with sports and split the profits
-Sell things people can wear and have a SUNN day! (Possibly, the person with the most SUNN gear (or most yellow/orange costume) gets a prize). Like hat day, you need to pay $1 to wear a sunn item. For example, we could sell those wristbands for a $1, or we could sell socks, or even sweatbands or flipflops. If you vote for this PICK AN ITEM you think we should sell!
-Auction off items: get items donated (ambassador people?) and people would go to an auction night!
-Grandma’s Night Out: Have a bunch of “old granny” games and activities like bingo, knitting, and jukebox music and charge $5 to come.
-Sell gifts around wintertime/christmastime
-Have a themed party: Like a mixer, we would have a theme like “90s party” and get the price people pay at the door to go to charity. We could get SALSA involved in this to make it a huge event.
-Famous person to speak: Get someone famous–like an philanthropist, author, actor, etc.–to come and talk to our school and charge a $3 entrance fee. We could also sell some items there (If you are bffs with Matt Damon or something, that would really help).
Spring fundraisers:
-“Fun in the Sun!”: Have students pogo stick around the track with a race! You would need to pay an entry fee of around $10. We could also have this as a relay–have kids start out on pogo sticks, and the next people are on those little turtle-scooter-boards, and the next people are in a three-legged race, the next people run backwards, etc… This could be part of an overall:
-Fun fair! Sell food and have a bouncy house (probably during the spring)
-Have a huge charity run (at the very end of the school year) and charge $10 per person.
